Welcome to EnAct-Dem

Welcome to EnAct-Dem, an international project which is centring the lived experience of dementia with policy, practice and community development.

Located at six sites in Canada, Germany and the United Kingdom, EnAct-Dem will work alongside groups and individuals living with dementia to explore the significance of this wider world to managing life with dementia in a community setting. We will examine the network of places and people that play a part in creating supportive and inclusive communities and we will use our learning to inform policy-making, community development and service provision.

Over the course of the project, we will build connections between networks of people with dementia and aim to inform public understanding of dementia, demonstrating the significant contribution made by people living with dementia to their communities.

This website will provide a home to the project’s outcomes, as well as articles and discussions that capture the process across the communities involved.
